Dr. Kieva Hranchuk

President-Elect

Dr. Hranchuk is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Disability Studies at Brock University. She is both an Ontario-certified special education teacher (OCT) and a doctoral-level board-certified behaviour analyst (BCBA-D) and has been working in the field of behaviour analysis with children and their families

for over 15 years. Kieva is also the owner of a private practice consultation business called Kenna Learning Inc. through which she provides clinical supervision and training to a number of families and agencies within Ontario. She specializes in teacher/clinician training as well as in the supervision of evidence-based service delivery to clients with and without disabilities in educational settings.

Kieva has published research in several peer-reviewed journals including the Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, The Analysis of Verbal Behavior, Behavioral Development, and Behavioral Interventions. Kieva received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, and a Behavioural Science Technician post-graduate certificate from George Brown College in Toronto, Ontario. She then moved to New York City where she earned her M.A. in Teaching Applied Behaviour Analysis and her Ph.D. in Applied Behaviour Analysis at Columbia University under the advisement of Dr. R. Douglas Greer. Kieva has taught at both Columbia University and Arizona State University as an Adjunct Assistant Professor as well as in the Honours Bachelor of Behavioural Psychology program at St. Lawrence College. Kieva is the incoming President-elect of the Ontario Association of Behaviour Analysis and currently sits on the Program Board for the Association for Behaviour Analysis International as co-coordinator for the area of Behavioural Development. Kieva also volunteers her time as a Queen’s University Councillor providing guidance and support to the Queens community in Kingston.
