Nicole’s past service as a Director and committee member with ONTABA has given her a deep appreciation for the association’s role in advancing behaviour analysis in Ontario, and supporting professionals, families, and communities.
As an Associate Dean of Research at Western University, Nicole brings extensive experience in teaching, research, clinical practice, and academic leadership, with a strong background in governance. As Coordinator of the Master of Professional Education in Applied Behaviour Analysis, the only fully online ABA program in Canada, she has worked to expand training opportunities for future behaviour analysts while ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory standards for over 9 years.
Nicole currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Association for Professional Behavior Analysts (APBA) and sits on its Accreditation Board, contributing to international professional standards and accreditation pathways. In Ontario, she has served as a Subject Matter Expert for the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario’s ABA Regulation Working Group and the Inquiries, Complaints, and Reports Committee (ICRC) of the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario, ensuring fairness, transparency, and consumer protection in the regulation of our field.
Her funded research program focuses on interdisciplinary, policy-relevant initiatives, including autism policy, economic impacts, inclusive communities, and ABA provider capacity, bridging behaviour analysis with other fields to create systems change. She has received both the Award for Teaching and the Award for Research from ONTABA, reflecting her dedication to advancing the science and training of behaviour analysis in Ontario. She has been privileged to contribute to the field’s transition into a regulated profession, and is committed to supporting ONTABA in this new phase. Her goal is to help behaviour analysts thrive as regulated practitioners, ensuring that ONTABA continues to lead in professional development, advocacy, and the advancement of ethical and evidence-based practice.
