Employment Supports and Community Engagement for individuals with ASD (1 CEU)

Dr. Paige Raetz, PhD., BCBA-D, LBAThis presentation will describe the current literature related to employment support for individuals with ASD and how one non-profit organization has incorporated that research into practice to develop services to support individuals with ASD while also creating a more inclusive community through education and partnership.

Dr. Paige Raetz, PhD., BCBA-D, LBA
Paige Raetz, PhD., BCBA-D, LBA is the current Senior Director at Southwest Autism Research and Resource Center (SARRC) in Phoenix, AZ. Dr. Raetz is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA-D) and is licensed as a behavior analyst in the state of Arizona. In addition to her work at SARRC, Dr. Raetz currently services on the governor’s appointed committee on behavior analysis for the Arizona Psychology Board. Dr. Raetz also serves as Vice President of the Autism Provider Exchange (APEX) as well as past president of Advancing Futures for Adults with Autism. Dr. Raetz additionally served as adjunct professor within the psychology department at Arizona State University and has been a guest lecturer at Auburn University and Western Michigan University. Dr. Raetz has experience in the areas of autism as well as behavioral gerontology and has presented at conferences both nationally and internationally. Dr. Raetz has both published and served as a guest editor for Journal of Applied Behavior Analysis, Behavior Analysis in Practice, Journal of Organizational Behavior Management and The Journal of Applied Verbal Behavior. Her published research has spanned the topics of autism, behavioral gerontology, applied verbal behavior, assessment, organizational behavior management, and clinical decision-making models. Dr. Raetz graduated from University of the Pacific with a master’s degree in psychology and completed a Ph.D. from Western Michigan University in Behavior Analysis.
